Wear Circular is an initiative by Klopman, TDV Industries and 4F to create high-performance fabrics from post-consumer recycled garments. We aim to combine sustainability and durability by providing eco-friendly workwear solutions without compromising on quality.
With the Wear Circular project, we collect garments at the end of their lifecycle and recycle them transforming them into high-quality new fibres using a mechanical recycling process. These regenerated fibres are then spun into new fabrics – regenerating new textiles and significantly reducing waste.
Wear Circular embraces the principles of reuse and recycling by transforming waste materials into high-quality fabrics and aligns with evolving European regulations, such as the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), which encourages producers to take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of their products. By closing the loop, we support a more circular and responsible textile industry.
Wear Circular fabrics are designed to meet the diverse and demanding needs of the textile sector. Designed for workwear can have multiple applications: from lightweight to heavy weight applications, our materials offer exceptional durability, robustness, and performance, making them ideal for a wide range of industries and not only.
In addition to fabric performance, by choosing our Wear Circular fabrics companies can demonstrate their strong commitment to environmental responsibility.
At the core of the Wear Circular project is the exclusive fraying technology, which preserves considerable fibre length during the recycling process – enabling the production of high-quality yarns and fabrics. The technology also allows the multi-fibre recycling, allowing us to recover both polyester and cotton fibres from post-consumer garments, further enhancing material efficiency and environmental impact.
The resulting fabrics deliver best-in-class durability and performance, tailored to meet the high standards of the workwear industry. Our process guarantees maximum colour durability and consistency, even after intensive use. Additionally, we offer a broad and customizable colour range, making sustainability and style work seamlessly together.
Mechanical recycling is a highly efficient and scalable method for recycling textile fibres. It enables the recovery of both cotton and polyester without the use of additional chemicals or additional water in the process. This process is not only cost-effective and environmentally friendly, but also well-suited for industrial-scale production, making it a practical solution for reducing textile waste and supporting a circular economy model.
Yes, our project is ready for industrial-scale application. Our circular fabrics are available on the market and are actively being used in professional applications but not only.
